This year I took 42 flights to put on a total of 28 weddings in both San Diego and Martha’s Vineyard. This year has been crazy, to say the least, but you know what they say, time flies when you are having fun!
Back in December of 2018, I remember looking at my schedule and wondering if I was going to make it out alive! How was I going to travel this much without getting sick or forgetting something? How was I going to be away from Robert every single weekend and sometimes for months at a time? All of these questions raced through my mind, but I knew this was the right move for my company and for my career. This crazy schedule was going to push me to think differently, work creatively, and take Timeless Event Planning to the next level. So, I put on my big-girl pants and went for it.
Don’t get me wrong I had plenty of nights I would randomly start crying because I was tired and missed having a “normal” routine. With such an intense schedule, waking up at 8 am and working until 11:30 pm for days at a time, it seemed like the summer was never-ending. Some mornings I realized that I didn’t even text my fiancé until 1 pm to say “Good morning”. Though I may have lost some serious sleep, it was all worth it.
Since starting Timeless Event Planning I have done some things that I used to dream about. I have worked with some amazing couples and created my best work. I have formed new friendships with some incredible vendors and clients. I put on my first fashion and product shoot with one of my favorite designers on Martha’s Vineyard.
I was featured on Martha Stewart, Harpers Bazaar, Modern Luxury Magazine, and so many others. I was even on the front page of Style Me Pretty! I put on my first fashion shoot and put on my first product shoot for a famous designer on Martha’s Vineyard. And I opened up my company in a third city and hired my second Timeless coordinator.
While building my company, I was able to see one of my best friends get married and take a trip to Hawaii with my fiancé to see his timeshare (lol it took 5 years). I have spent more time than ever with my family and I was even able to bring my sister on to help me with a few weddings on MV. This year was epic and I wouldn’t change a single thing.
These are the years I know I’m going to look back on when I’m older and think damn, I was one crazy lady.
I want to thank everyone for all of your love and support. And I want to give a special thank you to my fiancé for putting up with me and all my crazy dreams that I’m always trying to catch.
