This year I really started keeping track of where all my clients found me. My most popular sites were Yelp, Google and through word-of-mouth. Despite all of these platforms- the one that took me by surprise was Thumbtack. I created an account a few years back and rarely checked it until I received an alert that a bride (Mona) tried to contact me in July 2018.
Mona lives in Canada and her fiancé, Gustavo, at the time lived in Brazil. Neither of them had been to San Diego but wanted to have their wedding in this amazing city. I was so intrigued by their story that we spent over an hour chatting about where they met, where they had traveled together, what their dream wedding would be, and much more.
After the conversation, we had created an amazing connection and I knew we were a perfect fit We started the design process and hiring an amazing team of vendors. One of my favorite vendors from this was Miho Catering. I had never used them before but had heard rumors that their food was out of this world.
The week of the wedding Mona arrived in San Diego a few days early so we could start setting everything up. Since this was being held at a private estate, we had the luxury of taking our time to set up all the decor. One of my favorite memories was being able to work so closely with her mom who was an absolute gem. She cared so much about all the details Mona was creating and was beyond supportive.
On the big day, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and everything turned out perfect. Mona spent the morning with her family getting ready while Gustavo did the same. Just as they were about to finish getting ready the first guest arrived and sooner than later it was showtime. Here are a few clips from this magical day!
